In Germany, new wind farms are required to modify operations of those turbines whose wake effect would exceed the assumptions used in designing previous installed wind farm(s). These operational modifications typically occur only during periods of high wind speeds, and typically only need apply to the one or two rows of turbines immediately adjacent to the previous installed wind farm.
Does the Netherlands have now, or does it plan to have, a similar requirement as in Germany, in which new wind farms must modify their operations as needed in order to ensure the structural stability of existing wind farms?
