Please confirm the timespan of monitoring that is required to determine if bird migration requires turbine slow-down.

    a. Should monitoring be done continuously throughout each 24h period during months of migration, where a 24h period corresponds to a day – e.g. 0500-0459?

    b. If the threshold for migration is reached in only 1 hour of any day/24h period, does this qualify to implement the slow-down condition or is appropriate to say “where the threshold is met for at least x hours in any 24h period (i.e. 0500 – 0459), this will require slow-down conditions to be instigated?

    c. If the threshold is not reached during day light hours but is met during the hours of darkness, is slow-down required for the remaining hours of darkness during that 24h period (as defined in a)?

    d. What are the months you define as relevant to bird migration activity?
